1. 01Who we are

   Gleneaston Homes Ltd.(registered in Ireland; “Gleneaston”, “we”, “us”) is the controller of the personal data described in this notice. If you have any questions about how we handle your data, email us at info@gleneastonhomes.ie or call 045 39 54 39.

2. 02What data we collect

   When you request a quote through our online configurator we collect:

   • Your name, email address, phone number and address.
   • Your Eircode.
   • The extension design you chose (size, brick or render finish, doors, roof, electrics).
   • Your preferred build timeline.
   • The 3D snapshots of your configured design (an exterior view and an interior view) so we can include them in your PDF quotation.
   • Basic technical information sent by your browser: IP address and user-agent string.

   If you sign the quotation electronically, we also record your typed name, the date and time of signing, and the IP address and browser used to sign, as an audit trail for the contract.

3. 03Why we use your data

   • To prepare and email you a detailed quotation.
   • To conduct the site survey, contract, deliver and install your extension.
   • To answer any question you send us, and to follow up if you requested a quote and we have not heard back.
   • To maintain accounting and warranty records once you are a customer, and to comply with our tax and legal obligations.

4. 04Our legal basis

   Under GDPR, the legal bases we rely on are:

   • Performance of a contract– when you ask for a quote and, later, when you order an extension.
   • Legitimate interest– to respond to enquiries, follow up on quotes, and improve the configurator and our service.
   • Legal obligation– to keep accounting and tax records for the retention periods required by Irish law.

5. 05Who we share your data with

   We do not sell or rent your personal data. To run our service we use these processors, all bound by data-processing agreements:

   • Supabase– hosts the database that stores your quote and the storage bucket where your 3D snapshots are saved (EU region).
   • Resend– sends transactional email (your signed-quote confirmation and any follow-up messages).
   • Vercel– hosts the Gleneaston Homes website and the configurator itself.
   • Our accountant, tax advisor and insurers where required for the operation of our business.

   Your data may be transferred outside the EEA only where those transfers are protected by the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent safeguards.

6. 06How long we keep your data

   • If you request a quote but do not proceed, we keep your enquiry for up to 24 months, then delete it.
   • If you become a customer, we keep your file for the duration of the contract, the warranty period, and the retention periods required by tax law — typically 7 years after the final invoice.

7. 07Your rights

   Under GDPR you have the right to:

   • Ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
   • Ask us to correct information that is wrong or out of date.
   • Ask us to delete your data, where we no longer have a lawful reason to keep it.
   • Ask us to restrict how we use your data, or to object to a particular use.
   • Ask for a portable copy of your data in a common electronic format.
   • Withdraw your consent, where we relied on consent.

8. 08Cookies

   The Gleneaston Homes website uses only the strictly necessary cookies required to keep the site working (page rendering, session state on the quote view, deployment protection where applicable). We do not currently use analytics or marketing cookies. If we introduce them, we will update this page and publish a cookie banner asking for your consent.

9. 09Complaints

   If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, please contact us first at info@gleneastonhomes.ie so we can put things right. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Irish Data Protection Commission (dataprotection.ie).
